Jaywalking with Jesus

Jim Elliot said this before being speared to death on a sandbar in the Curaray River of Ecuador in 1956.

He and four others were trying to reach the Huaorani Indians for Christ (for the first time in history).

And you thought witnessing to your co-worker is hard!

Matthew 5:16 says, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

It takes guts to live for Christ. Especially in a world that’s more ‘woke’ on social issues than the Sunday sermon.

When folks see Christ in you, people gotta choose between the righteous path or the, well, not-so-righteous one.

And remember:

People sometimes hear what you say. They always see how you live.

It’s like a livestream of “Keeping up with the Christians” reality show, but with less drama and false idols.
